Thursday 13: Thankful

I am thankful for:
  1. Daniel.
  2. My family.
  3. My Rowe family.
  4. My new Harvest family.
  5. My blogging family. I am so thankful for EACH of you! The wonderful ladies I interact with on a daily basis like Michele, Lindsay, Lot, Miranda, Kristen, Jenna, Jessica, Cat, Chloe, Lily, Eesh... just to name a few! Wow the list literally could go on and on. I love you ALL!
  6. My car, which gets me from point A to point B, and is a lot nicer and more wonderful than I could have ever imagined—or afforded.
  7. Books. Daniel and I are currently reading Heaven is For Real by Todd Burpo. We are taking turns reading it out loud to each other. We don't want to put it down. It's beautiful, inspiring, wonderful.
  8. Support from those around me (who feed me, eat my food, and dine out with me) as I try to figure out whether I'm gluten intolerant, lactose intolerant, possibly both, or if it's something different entirely. I know my tummy gives us all problems and you all are so great for understanding!
  9. The power of prayer. I learned the Monday after the day I gave my heart to Jesus, that Daniel's mom's kids (she's a 2nd and 3rd grade teacher) had been praying for me each and every day. It turns out, a LOT of people had been praying for me. I know that their prayers were answered that day!
  10. My job. I'm a development assistant at a Boise non-profit hospital. I know I take it for granted a lot of the time, and I tend to get a bit down about it... but, boy-oh boy—I have a job! My job gives me insurance! My job lets me work with fun ladies! My job makes a difference! My job is wonderful!
  11. Vacations! Daniel and I just booked a trip to Palm Desert in mid-April and I can't be more thankful that we have the financial ability to travel, but that our schedules will allow it, and that we get to go to a beautiful place and relax and explore!
  12. Spring blossoms. Spring is my 2nd favorite season. It's simply so beautiful and I just love driving or walking around and seeing all the cute little buds and blossoms on the trees. It really brightens my day.
  13. Mistakes. This one might sound weird, because you may think, "Why would I be thankful for something I have done wrong?" However, lately I'm learning how each of my mistakes has made me not only who I am, but a better person. I'm beginning to understand how God has a plan for each of us, and that plan includes our mistakes, whether we mean to make them or not. Each mistake, no matter how significant, has a purpose. Though we might not understand them at the moment, we can always know that God has a plan. That is beautiful, comforting, and makes each moment make even more sense.

This is one of my favorites posts of yours to date. Not just because of the shout-out (although it really made me smile!) but because of your list. Your heart is in such a beautiful place. There is so much to be thankful for that is so easily overlooked, but your list didn't leave those little things out!

Happy Friday Eve, my love!

Girl, I am THANKFUL for my mistakes too! I look back at all those "I wish I had done that differently"s and i see in some of the "mistakes" blessings! Some took years to finally see but you end up seeing them and understanding sometimes! Just another example of how God's way is better than ours...even when we don't see it all the time! Ha!

I love that you and Daniel are reading a book together. That's something I've always wanted to do with C.

Enjoyed reading what you're thankful for. I'm thankful for my blog friendships, as well! Happy to have met you! :)

Awe, I'm thankful to have the opportunity to chat with you as well! I wish I could get my boyfriend to read a book with me, or even a book in general lol

Lots of great things to be grateful for! I try to write 3 new grateful things daily... It helps make for a better day because you begin it with a positive thought, or three ;]
