The Accent.

Some of you may know that I used to live in Oklahoma.
But for only four years.

I've also lived in Washington, Arkansas, Ohio, California,
and most recently—good 'ol Boise Idaho.

But lately?
People have been telling me I have an accent.

Really?
Because I just don't think so.

I'm going to let you decide.
I've posted vlogs here, here, and here.

What's your vote?
Accent or no accent?

I've lived in Kansas for 19 out of my almost 23 years and I don't hear an accent. It just sounds American, more midwest than either coast which makes sense.

I have an accent, I don't hear an accent on you, but either way accents are sexy :D

I don't hear an accent at all! I'm from California but I've lived in KY for the last 5 years so I always freak out about maybe having an accent...but {thankfully} I definitely do not have one! Plus, surprisingly, a lot of the people here actually don't have accents. :)

I don't hear an accent really... Accents are funny. Sometimes its just little things that stick with you. Like me for instance...I'm was born in canada, but have lived in washington state since I was 9. Sometimes I catch myself saying "about" or "sorry" really Canadian. :P

I don't think you have a thick accent! Maybe just a little twang! :P

I'm an Okie (known for big accents) and I don't think you have one. Guess you didn't stay in Oklahoma for long enough! haha

I was born and raised in Tennessee. It's so funny because the people around here tell me I don't really have an accent, but then the second I LEAVE the South, I get bombarded with, "And just where in the South are you from?" I guess it's obvious to them. :P

But I don't think you have an accent at all!

If you spell the contraction of you-all as "ya'll," you have no reason to worry about having an accent or being country/southern ;)

(it's y'all)

I hear a slight accent but I wouldn't call it a southern one. Where did you live in Arkansas? I've lived here all my life, haha. I hate my accent :( but it's not nearly as bad as some people around here.

Hahah well I'm from Louisiana, so according to our awful standards, I didn't hear an accent!

As someone who is from Oklahoma and currently living in Texas, I hear no accent at all! You should hear people around here...but not me! Never! Haha ;)

Nope, you don't have an accent. Possibly you could say you have a slight midwestern accent, but that's pretty much not an accent at all - just a little bit more enunciation than we do over here in the West.
