Going to the Chapel...

... Actually, we're going to a winery.
The big day is tomorrow and I couldn't be more honored
to share this special day with my sister and her fiancè.

I wish they would also let me share their trip to Maui
that they'll be heading off to on Monday.
Those stinkers.

But hey, Daniel and I are next right? ♥

BOI to SPOKANE

Top: c/o REAP // Shoes: Runway Fashion Exchange

"She is clothed with strength and dignity. She laughs without fear of the future."
-Proverbs 31:25

Good morning!
I'm up bright and early and headed to Spokane for my sister's wedding on Saturday!

The rundown?
Tonight - bachelorette party
Tomorrow - rehearsal dinner
Saturday - WEDDING!
Sunday - Marn's birthday brunch and travel home

I. Am. Excited.
In fact, I don't even think I got a wink of sleep last night.
With doing my nails (and my mom's), emails and packing...
the hours just sort of blended together.
Awesome. Sauce.

Keep up with me on instagram for some fun shots from the trip!

A Whiter Shade of Pale.

The evening that Daniel and I got engaged,
we went to the Mile High Marina in McCall for some live music.
It was "Jimmy Buffet Night," and the musician went by "Wyatt Hurts."
Do I need to say much more?

After telling my dad about our engagement,
he took over the microphone for a minute and announced our big news to everyone.
"Wyatt" called Daniel and I to the dance floor and played a beautiful love song for us.
Or, at least we thought it was a love song.
After we finished our dance (in which my dad and I both cried),
he told us the real meaning of the song.
The song's name was "A Whiter Shade of Pale,"
and while it's a famous and romantic-sounding song,
it's actually a song about seasickness.

What a way to kick off an engagement.

We danced the night away to live music and lots of DJ'd dances
like the Macarena, the Cupid Shuffle, and the Cha Cha Slide.
And yes, we were dressed like crazy Jimmy Buffet parrot heads the entire time.

twenty-six.

Yesterday, I turned 26.
I'm fairly certain that 26 may be the best year of my life.

Sunday evening, Daniel and I headed over to hang out with a group of friends from church.
It turned out to be a bit of a surprise birthday party for me.
Needless to say, I was surprised and so blessed to spend the evening with best friends.

Monday, my birthday, I had to work.
Just what I've always wanted...
but it really wasn't so bad.
I totally cried at my desk while watching this video sent to me from the sweet, sweet Lily.
After work, my friend Andi came over and surprised me with some homemade
mint chip oreo cookies, or as she calls them "crack cookies,"
due to their highly addictive properties,
and the most amazing DIY necklace.
Around 6:30, I headed to my mom's house with Daniel's family
for a little birthday dinner.
We dined on delicious
sour cream green chile chicken enchiladas
(say that three times fast)
and a cream cheese cherry croissant dessert.
My favorite birthday dinner.
We shared stories, opened a few presents, and laughed off all our calories from dessert.

As I blew out my candles
(twice)
it was hard to think of a birthday wish.
I have my family.
I have Daniel.
It's all pretty surreal.

I did end up making two birthday wishes.
And no, I'm not telling.
And no, they had nothing to do with babies or anything crazy like that.
I can't cross off all my "not's" in one year, people.
