No kidding! It DOES look gross & very green. I'm also a sucker for these healthy shakes. It TASTES like chocolate and is so satisfying. To me, it's like dessert!

What kind of protein powder do you use? And where do they sell protein powder? I see these kinds of shakes on Pinterest all the time and I want to try a couple but I'm nervous when it comes to going and getting the ingredients that I've never used before. It looks kinda iffy but I won't knock it until I try it!

I don`t think I`ve ever tried a protein shake before, but this looks yummy. I`m tempted to just use a scoop of cocoa powder but that would kinda defeat the healthiness of this shake, haha!

This looks awesome! I have a protein shake almost every day, but I hardly ever add veggies to it (usually a banana goes in mine). But I just may have to try this one out. :)

I use Optimum Whey and buy it from Bodybuilding.com (not just for bodybuilders :) ). The link is here: http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/opt/whey.html. You can also get protein at local nutrition stores or even the grocery store! I love it :)

This looks awesome! I usually put a banana or strawberries in mine, but I might get brave and try the spinach. Looks so healthy and yummy!!

I am going to need to start adding spinach to my normal protein shakes! I put the following together, and blend: 1 scoop protein powder (vanilla soy), 1/4 block tofu, 1 Tbsp dry sugar free pudding mix (vanilla), 1 tsp butter extract, 1 tsp almond extract, stevia, 10 ice cubes, and 3/4-1 cup water. It tastes like cake batter, not even kidding. It is SO yummy, but if I got a serving of veggies in there, too?! Man! That would be the best!!!

I make almost the same thing, and I really, really, REALLY recommend using a frozen banana instead of the ice cubes. It blends more evenly and gives it a milkshake like creaminess. Promise!

    I always check out
this website before buying any protein products - www.pro-proteinshake.com -
My personal favourite is the Labrada Lean Body Hi-Protein shake because of
    the high protein:carb ratio.

You're so welcome, Sammantha! I'm glad you have an affinity for green & gross-looking food like me!

You know what else would make it so good? ICE CREAM! But yeah... no can do. I have also added a handful of frozen berries, or half a banana, or some yogurt! That helps spice it up!

Bananas make them so good and thick! I will add a banana for a post-workout shake... haven't done it in a while. Thanks for reminding me!

And I need to get crazy and add berries! Good idea!

Milkshakes are so good! If you add spinach to a milkshake, it totally adds a healthy factor, and a full serving of veggies that you cant even taste!

this is genius! i've never heard of anyone adding tofu. ... can you taste it? sounds... interesting but i would TOTALLY try it!
