Fall at the Rowe House

Fall trees in Idaho
Pumpkin table decor

Fall is in full swing here in Boise. The top photo is the view from our backyard—so many colors and so many kinds of trees!—and the bottom photo is our kitchen table decor of the moment. We don't have much else up in the house that screams "fall," but the little pumpkins are enough for us. The coasters were a wedding gift from my dad's fiancè—she made them for us!

It seems like this time of year—along with the turning leaves—brings change after change. Sometimes it's work related (last year at this time Daniel was just starting a new job), some times it's emotional (don't even get me started with all my ups and downs lately), and sometimes it's changes that you never even saw coming. Either way, year after year as the leaves change, so do I... and this year I just hope my "colors" are as pretty as those bright leaves. Sometimes it's hard to tell.

Your colours are as bright as those leaves, at least in my humble opinion. :)

Super cute centerpiece! Simple, but chic!

The fall colors are so pretty! I wish Singapore had fall so we could enjoy colors like these everyday!

Love those beautiful fall leaves!

Seems like fall just always goes so quickly...my husband and littlest have birthdays, and once those kick off it seems like the next 2 months fly by.

BTW - I did finally lace up my running shoes for a mile...it was brutal! It's just like Spanish - if you don't use it, you lose it! Back at square one...

I love the fall colors. Looking out my office window right now, and all I see is FALL. I love it.
It is REALLY cold out though. Ugh.. More Fall.. Less Winter.... that's my opinion.

The coasters are AMAZING. She is very talented. Will she MAKE ME some?!?! haha.

Look inside... you're beautiful soul shines through!

I've always considered fall to be a time of change for me. It's always the best of the year though, no matter how rough things seem to get. I just love being home with my family! And no, our leaves don't change much. It makes me sad...

So glad to hear someone else is having all sorts of "shifts" with their mood these days! Hopefully it is just fall and I am not going crazy! Your trees are beautiful! Enjoy the Idaho fall for me!

I totally understand. My FAVORITE time of year is Autumn, but my Mom passed away last November, so now all I do is think about her, and how she's not here anymore. It's not a change I ever wanted to experience, but certainly not one so (somewhat) early in my life.
I hope you're doing well. xoxo

You're so sweet. I know I'm never "pinterest worthy" but it's fun to change it up a bit :)

I think just the thought of being in Singapore sounds amazing!

They're so fun. It seems like every store has them this year and in all shapes, sizes and colors. The huge ones are hilarious!

Proud of you for getting back out there... I know that it can be a big task.

Oh no! Not the cold. It's been below 40 here in the mornings, but the afternoons are generally pretty nice... thank goodness!

Annelise Rowe said...

I'm making some changes to ensure they will be :) Thank you so much for that part. This post wasn't about fall at all... and you see that ;)

Annelise Rowe said...

Aren't they neat? We have 12 (I think). Plenty for the whole house!

Oh bummer. I don't think I'd be sad if I looked at palm trees all the time though :) I love your posts about fall... last year you had some awesome ones, too!

You got it :) And yes, the shifting is where it's at right now. I'm anticipating the next step and just trying to get over the current one :)

Oh Megan, I can't even imagine. I would also think of all the same things during that season. I bet you miss her and hold tight to those good memories. Come November, I'll be sending lots and lots of virtual hugs to you!

And yes, I'm doing well. Some days are better than others, but such is life :) So good to hear from you.
