One Day at a Time

Bracelet: c/o Chloe vs. Tank // Necklace: c/o Lisa Leonard // Top: Runway Fashion Exchange // Photos: Taylor Love Studios

Yesterday, I posted about how I'm easily affected by the little things.
My last sentence, "but I can change myself," stirred something inside of me.

For the rest of the day, I started thinking about all the changes I have made.
I won't list them all—
but some of the little ones?
No more (new) tattoos. No more belly button piercing. No more burping out loud.
Yes. I said it.
And hey—a big one—becoming a Christian.

As Daniel and I begin our new start together,
right now it's the little things that are going to make a big difference.
Keeping true to our guidelines we set for ourselves before marriage,
reminding ourselves (or me, anyways) that we don't need to stress about wedding plans,
and sharing a hug or back-scratch every now and again.
(Thank you for that little one while I folded laundry this morning, by the way).

Yesterday, we purchased our first pieces of furniture together.
A couch and an ottoman for our soon-to-be den (which is currently my room).
This little step had us both smiling from ear to ear as we headed home last night.
It's happening
It's. All. Happening.
So many details, so many new things, so much to share.

One day at a time.

It amazes me how I can feel so overwhelmed by the little things I feel like I'm doing wrong or could do better and then realize how many I am doing right. It's good to focus on the good too :)

Omg, I've been so behind on blogs because of starting the school year.....I missed that you guys are engaged! So excited!

I too became a Christian as an adult, so I know certain things are challenging! Does your church have a Preparing for Marriage course? We loved ours!

Good for you for making changes that make you feel better! It's definitely important to notice even when you make the little changes. How exciting to start buying things to make your life together with your boyfriend - what a fun time!

Awwww! Your first piece of furniture!!! That actually is really adorable. Joe and I are looking for a couch this weekend. (I just realized how dorky we are... ) ;)
Soooo how'd ya quit burping out loud? Sometimes mine just pop out and I'm mortified. Shoot.

Good for you :)

I'm trying to change my habits positively too. Today I ran half a mile. Doesn't sound much, but I HATE running.
