The Emmett Cherry Festival

Emmett Cherry Festival

On Friday, Daniel was working the Air National Guard booth at the Emmett Cherry Festival, so I drove over and joined him after work. There was a carnival, tons of fun booths filled with crafts and specialty items, live music and dancing, and of course—cherries galore.

One of our favorite things to do is "people watch," and this festival had no lack of people-watching entertainment. My favorite thing was seeing the kids come up to Daniel at the booth and "ooh" and "aah" over the cool military vests, radios, and even Daniel himself. I could tell that those kids looked to him with such admiration. It was amazing to watch, and made me so proud of my husband. It's those little things that make my world go 'round.

Those Cherries are amazing looking! I've been buying Cherries and Watermelons every week from the supermarket! I can't wait for a farmers market... MmmmMMm Fresh Fruit.

Oh, and caramel apples... are my downfall. They have to be my favorite thing.
We had a carnival this past weekend, and I had a Caramel Apple, that was half dipped in dark chocolate and peanuts.

Total Yum.
And I totally did a bunch of situps when I got home!

I just came to check out your blog and was very surprised to see a post about Emmett followed by mention of McCall. I live about 20 minutes from Caldwell (6 months out of the year) and I'm in McCall right now! Haha. I think I've only found one other western Idaho blogger before!

I know! I'm sorry for tempting you. Each time I look at the photos I want one, too!

Well hello, sister! PS> got your comment yesterday about going to The Cove and hope you had a blast! That's so cool you live by Caldwell. I'm right outside Boise!! Small world, huh?
