Boise has been so chilly lately (50's & 60's—it's cold for me!) and I'm not ready for it to be full-fledged fall with its frosty mornings and crisp evenings. To be honest, as long as the weather holds in the 60's and 70's through this weekend (for the marathon Sunday!), I'll be happy camper.

Do you see the adorable sterling rings in the second photo? They're the "birthstone rings" from The Vintage Pearl and I got them in emerald for Daniel's birthday in May and peridot for my birthday in August. The words "his" and "hers" are hand-stamped on the inside of the rings (seen here). The other fun part about those months are that we met in May and got engaged in August, so I also just ordered a December blue zircon "ours" to add to the stack, signifying the month we got married. I love personalized birthstone jewelry... there are so many fun things you can do with the designs & meanings behind the pieces.

If you were going to get a stack of personalized rings, what stones & meanings would you choose?

that's super fun!!! I love personalized items! loving the bright fall tones! Hopefully the weather will stay nice for the race! 50's / 60's are great running weather! I ran 1 marathon at freezing / misty rain temps in Chicago. NO FUN.

I would do December for my birthday, and August for my baptism 12 years later-- my spiritual birthday!

I love those shoes! I have some reptile print shoes in pink and some zebra print shoes that I am absolutely loving! I wore them for date night Friday and it's the first thing Travis noticed... haha! Love these pictures you're so cute! :)

I love this outfit. Funny because I took an outfit post that is similar to this idea.
Very cute rings. I would get November for my best friends bday and October. I have three meaning in October. My brothers bday, James bday and the month James and I started dating. I also hope that it is the month we become engaged and married on. =]

Thank you! I love the look of dainty rings, but for some reason I gravitate toward thicker and wider right-hand rings. I can't wait to add the "ours" to the stack.

Amanda, that sounds so terrible! When my mom ran the Dallas White Rock Marathon (back in '97 I think), it POURED on her the whole time. She said it was miserable. I don't mind morning chills, but just hoping for clear skies that day :) Cross your fingers for me!

Now THAT is beautiful. We would have two of the same colors, too! :) If I did that, my saved month would be March and baptized month would be February :)

Thanks Pamela! I am fortunate that all the dates fall on the same months :) Were I to go back, I'd get "Hello" stamped on the inside of May's ring, "Marry Me?" stamped on the inside of August's ring, and "I do" stamped on the inside of Decembers :)

So fun! I can't seem to get enough of animal print items lately. Did you know some zoos banned leopard print because it was aggravating the animals? Crazy!

Thanks Laura! Guess what? Come back Wednesday b/c there will be something special from The Vintage Pearl that you won't want to miss! :)

Thanks a bunch, Niki!! I always go for black, but man adding some color in sometimes is so fun.

Thanks, girl! It was a casual workday outfit and that was my favorite part!

So fun! I like the meaning behind yours, too. The fall is a good season for you, I'd say!!

LOVE the rings! What a great idea. I am not married nor do I have kids but I've seen it done where they get birthstones of the babies for the right hand which I think is so sweet

Annelise Rowe said...

Brittany, I love that idea, too. I want to do that someday for my kids... and add rings as I go. :) Great idea!

I love those rings!! So sweet! The outfit is super cute too. I can only hope that it will start getting cold here in LA. We are still in the 80s here.

I'm all about bright colors this Autumn, which is rare for me! You look ahmazing. I love these colors. THAT SCARF! <3 I'm lovin' the weather, though Utah's been a weeee bit *too* warm.

The birthstone jewelry is lovely. I want to get a helix (upper ear) piercing in Sapphire for Jen's birthday, and our wedding anniversary, and she wants a Ruby in her helix, for my birthday! <3

Wisconsin has only been a little warmer than where you are and I'm sort of loving it, I love dressing in layers!
