Wedding Week is officially kicked off with one of my favorite little details from our wedding—the guestbook.
When I began planning our wedding, I knew I wanted a signature mat frame for people to sign... but that just wasn't enough. I wanted a place for people to be able to send well-wishes, to record their memories, to give us something to look back and spend time reading and laughing with. I also knew there would be a little bit of down-time after the ceremony and before the reception where our guests were waiting for us, and we needed something to fill the gap.
I had no idea where to start and how to find this "perfect guest book," until I was contacted by Ann from The Guestbook Store. I immediately knew that this was the perfect option for us. We chose the "One-Of-A-Kind" option, and even had it personalized with our names. It came with a gorgeous leather bound book (though there were plenty of other options to choose from), with separate pages that could be added in as they were filled out. I also ordered their set of 100 colorful markers, so people could really go to town and be creative.
After it was all said and done, we had just a little over 100 pages filled out, and each holds such a special memory and blessing for us. I was so surprised at how much thought and time each person put into filling out their pages. It warms my heart to see all the special wishes and words written just for us.
PS> Do you find it interesting that my brother-in-law drew a dog in his "special wishes for us" section? She looks oddly like Twiggy, don't you think? He drew that exactly one week before we adopted her. Imagine that. ♥
