Just to let you know that Google+ changed some policies so that they can use your stuff as free adverstiment. There is an option to opt out. Just thought I would let you know.

Aunie, I have got to know -- what kind of headphones do you use for running?
I've got this trouble with headphones/earbuds slipping around. It's distracting. Thanks!
and of course, great job completing your goal!!!

I'm glad you let me know, thanks Cody!

You're the best! Following you back!

Christy, I was pretty excited, too! If I run another one, I want to do well under that... we will see... you just never know!

Annelise Rowe said...

It does! It's so exciting to finally be able to say that!

You're so sweet, thanks Allison. I love how we all have different fitness goals. This has been one of mine since I was a little kid! FINALLY!

Thanks so much! I have such an appreciation for marathoners now!

Annelise Rowe said...

Thank you so much! I was so grateful to not feel my injuries. Though it does feel like I have cracked bones in my feet now... they're not, but it FEELS like it. When I walk I feel like I'm just crunch, crunch, crunching.

Thank you SO MUCH, Sarah! I can't believe the whole thing went by that quickly. That 18 weeks was over in an absolute flash. Thanks so much for being along for the journey, I really appreciate it!

Thanks so much, Cori! It's been on my bucket list for years, so glad to have it finished!

Annelise Rowe said...

Thank you, Erin! While we were running, we couldn't help but think about the people who do multiple marathons in consecutive days... or ultra marathoners. That's so crazy!

Annelise Rowe said...

It's a high, I'll tell you. It feels so good! Thanks Amelia!

Annelise Rowe said...

Thanks so much, Shannon. And you know what? I think I'm going crazy. I want to run another one... already! Yep, I'm losing my mind :)

PS> Good job on focusing on a half! That's a great goal to set! You're so awesome.

Annelise Rowe said...

That's what a lot of people said! What compliment... thank you!

Chelsea, you're so awesome. Ha! My mom is so excited to read all the nice comments on here, thanks for shouting her out! And yes, that's Adam reppin' his favorite team. We watch the Broncos with him every weekend, with the contingency that he watches the BSU Broncos with us! Ha~ You're awesome to be training for 5k's and 10ks. Those are fun races!!! Thank you again!

Thanks so much, Sarah. Yep, Daniel won the husband award that day. What a trooper.

Annelise Rowe said...

You're the best, Sydney. You're running it with me next year! :)

Annelise Rowe said...

Thanks Brook Lyn! We are so excited!

Annelise Rowe said...

PROUD OF YOU! Even though we're not training together, isn't it fun knowing how hard we're working toward the goal of being healthy? It's so fun!

Annelise Rowe said...

Thanks so much, Julie. I was so excited to share them... couldn't wait until after the race! :) If I would have IG'd a photo post-race, you would have seen me passed out on the couch! Ha!

Rachel, great question! I can't run with traditional headphones. They always slip out on me! I use Nike Flight headphones. They used to make them and sell them at Nike stores for about $20, but they're so crazy expensive online because I don't know if they make them anymore. I have a pair that I bought from Ebay (refurbished) for about $20.

bah. you guys are the cutest. this definitely makes me #1 do the city of trees and #2 cut my hair. :)

Huh! That doesn't sound exactly awesome hahaha Your poor feet are probably just like "seriously?" haha My knees aren't ever kind after a long run, thanks to 15 yrs of hardcore soccer. I crack them like an old lady for sure!

Annelise Rowe said...

HA! That is the best. And guess what? BOTH are doable... promise! :)

Annelise Rowe said...

Oh I know how that goes! I try to walk through the house in the mornings and my legs go SNAP-CRACKLE-POP. It's like a rice krispies festival! I'm so sorry to hear about your knees. Here's to old bodies at a young age! Ha!

Jennjilla said...

hahaha, amen! Cheers to that!

Your welcome.

Let me know how this works for you. I can't figure out Google+ to save my life, or what its social networking niche is. Keep me posted!

It's been working OK so far. I tend to treat it just like Facebook and for that purpose, I like it!

Ryan Anderson said...

Congrats on a great run! So cool that you did it with your mom too :D

Annelise Rowe said...

Thanks Ryan! It was definitely an experience (especially the training) that we will never forget :)
