Because... Well Just Because

Extra Extra! My FAQ page is now in action. You can find it HERE! Thanks for helping me build it over the past year!

Today I have a special treat for you—a blogger, stylist, mama... all wrapped up into a beautiful little package. Meet Meagan.

Meagan is the beautiful woman behind Because of Jackie. This blog is one of my favorites. Meagan is a true stylist. She grew up idolizing Jackie Kennedy, and her style today is efforless and so fun. I love how she always gives me something a little unexpected with each outfit, like that little mustard flair or printed top—I just love it!

Meagan is a mom to two adorable little kids, she's a personal stylist—both online and offline—and she does some amazing DIY clothing, jewelry and crafty gifts. Oh, she also has a killer simple (yet eye-catching) layout... it drew me right in and I remember it being the first thing I ever commented on her blog. If you're looking for a blogger who is basically everything I'm not (hence the mom/DIY/baking/cooking/domestic skills), you must go pay her a visit. Don't take my word for it, read her "best of" posts!

Today, Meagan is giving away a truly awesome gift—one of her custom styling packages with four looks. Enter below to win and good luck! Now go make a new friend ♥

I would ask for help in my quest to find a pair of jeans that actually fits properly!

I would ask about what patterns look fine together and which don't go at all!! I'm always afraid to mix prints.

My favorite style tip? Colors, layering, accessorizing! I would ask for help with jeans. I can't seem to find the right pair. Oh well!

I'm a fan of classic looks - and solid colors so I would ask a stylist for help with how to bring some excitement and spice to my look without straying too far from my comfort zone!

My favorite style tip is add a colorful scarf to any old outfit to jazz it up!

I would ask her to help me create new outfits with the clothes I already own. I struggle with remixing. So I just need a little help.

I would have them help me with creating new and exciting looks - I have pigeonholed myself. I like what I like and I never really stray. Maybe I should? <3

Layers! For some reason layers freak me out and I shy away from them.. even though they can be so cute! Thanks for introducing this beautiful lady!

Style help needed: finding ways to transition to a sassy professional version of myself. Some days it's hard to find an appropriate mix.

My tip: add a funky piece of jewelry to an otherwise basic outfit for some sparkle :)

I always need help finding clothes to hide/disguise my momma tummy...it's shrinking but it still takes a little extra work to get dressed and not have love handles showing! I love learning about new trends and how a mother can rock them!

First off-- i stumbled on her blog about a week ago and I love it! Um, styling tip... how the heck do I wear pink? hah. I want to start wearing it but it scares me.

My favorite styling tip is to add your own personality into the outfit, and to wear something that makes you feel beautiful- no matter if anyone thinks you look crazy or not! If I had a stylist, I'd ask her to help me find more clothes in my price range that work with my body type and fit my personality perfectly! :)

This is an awesome giveaway! If I had a stylist I would ask for tips on where to get really cool, original pieces. I think I would have them help me make my style, more my own!

My favorite style tip was "you don't have to wear heels to look fabulous". what a relief because I hate heels! If I had a stylist I would like to learn to look more pulled together, even on "casual" days with my kids.

My fav tip is that being confident in the clothes you have on is more important than whether they are the lastest trend or not! ... and I would love to learn how to pull together 'casual' outfits for my body type - hourglass and highwaisted :-/

If I had a stylist, I would definitely have them help me with hair and makeup. It's a tie. Sometimes, it is nice to just get new, fresh opinions and ideas :-)

I would ask for help accessorizing for the everyday look. I don't wear any jewelry expect for my wedding ring!

oops, except...not expect.

I thought Donnie asked you kindly to stop this nonsense. A good wife obeys her husband

His name is Daniel & he was joking around with me :)

Annelise @ Aunie Sauce said...

Ugh! That's the biggest dilemma I have too!

Annelise @ Aunie Sauce said...

Don't be afraid! Be bold! Stripes and polka dots? Awesome. Anything with leopard :)

Annelise @ Aunie Sauce said...

Or, keep doing what you're doing, but add a pop of flair with a scarf or big pair of earrings!

Annelise @ Aunie Sauce said...

Welcome welcome welcome! So happy to have you! I need to wear more pink, too! I don't have enough!

Annelise @ Aunie Sauce said...

Now those would be things that I personally would LOVE to help with :) Style? ehhh not so good at it. But hair and makeup? Win!

Having/winning some stylist help would make me feel so fab! I'd like to know how to get more out of the things I have (and some things I have a lot of: i.e. graphic t-shirts) so that I'm not tempted to buy more!

perfectly priya

I like to use inexpensive things from Target and Forever 21...scarfs, hats, fun necklaces and the like. They really pop on a"boring" (or what I wear almost everyday!) outfit. I also like to have fun shoes, like maroon colored wedge boots or bright flats to wear with all black outfits.

Meagan Rigney said...

I like to use a fun lipstick or a braided hairstyle (Julia from Gal Meets Glam has great hair tutorials and Tiffany D has great Youtube makeup videos!)

Meagan Rigney said...

I feel the same way! I love heels, but since I have two kids as well that is not always an option. I DO like low heeled ankle boots, they look great with everything, even skirts and shorts!

Meagan Rigney said...

I like shopping Etsy for really fun and unique accessories. Madewell has some fun clothing options with fun details, too. I love basic clothes that can be popped with really unique and trendy accessories, it is cheaper and easier. Zara.com has some great clothing, too!

My favorite style tip is buy things that represent you. Sure, neon was in but if you don't like no point in wasting your money. Always be you when styling.

Liz said...

Thanks for the suggestions Meagan!
You know I love scarves but never wear mine unless its cold out, but I have a super cute one that I think would look great with so many outfits, it's just about me taking the time to dig it out of boxes. I love necklaces but I'm intimidated by the bulky ones. :/ Idk...but it's time to step out of my comfort zone!

I really love gauzy scarves or light cotton ones in warmer weather, too! As for necklaces, what about longer pendant necklaces that are daintier? I have a couple from the Curious Creatures shop on Etsy that I adore and wear all the time!
