what REAL SAUCE is made of

My friends Maggie & Berna aka "The Snout" and "Le Troll"

Back in January, when I changed my blog Simply Aunie to Aunie Sauce, I think I thought this little space was going to be a lot funnier, more sarcastic, and definitely a witty depiction of my daily life. I thought my blog was going to be a daily "Ha, Ha, Ha! I'm sooo funny!" and that I would impress you with lots of awesome photos like the ones above, which are—just so you know—quite awesome. In fact, it was just that until about March. March 18, to be exact. As soon as I made the commitment to change my heart and live life a different way, it's like this whole new person came out.

A person who cries often, because of the new love I feel for others. Not a sad crying person, but a heartfelt and thoughtful crying person. A person who writes on this blog to journal, to reflect, to take a moment to myself... not just so others can laugh along with my escapades. A person who isn't bothered by the old things (as much) that used to get me down: my trichotillomania (which is so minimal anymore), my high-stress issues, and my tendency to worry.

Sometimes I get so wrapped up in my little world, that I just need a break. That's when reading other blogs come in. One of my favorite daily reads is Erin's blog: Living in Yellow. Man, she can pick me up from any funk I'm in. I don't know how she stays funny all the time. Maybe it's the wine... and in that case, maybe I should have a glass once in a while. You can bet that if I was joining her for dinner (which I better be soon, missy), that I would definitely sip on a tasty glass of moscato or rosé (Erin, is that totally tacky? I'm a dessert wine fan for sure... none of that white or red garbage for me).

Anyway—I guess my point is that Erin is what real sauce is made of. She literally (and she won't deny it), is the sauciest mac-and-cheeser around. Seriously... read to the bottom. She loves the stuff. My version of sauce is like a sappy Nicolas Sparks novel compared to her Chelsea Handler-style autobiography. It actually makes me a little jelly. So, instead of mulling over the fact that her blog is way cooler (and saucier) than mine, how about I let her tell you for herself?

Well hey there you saucy fans.
My name is Erin and I blog over at Living In Yellow.

Now I know what you are thinking "guest posts suck"
Guess what? You are right. They do.
Which is why I am not going to write one.
You're welcome.
You know what this means don't you?
You must come to my blog. To read like a non-guest post or something.
I promise you'll laugh.
Or at least feel better about your own life.

See you soon baby cakes.

ps. I love macaroni and cheese. And Giuliana Rancic. That's all.

So... maybe all she told you was what I told you about her. That she likes mac and cheese? Yep. This is why she is my favorite.

And—because Erin loves you, she's giving away a medium ad space on her blog. I can't tell you how many times I've advertised with Erin (probably 8 out of the 11 months I've been blogging), and she is in my top referrals of all time. So... enter away. And then go read like 10 more of my archived posts and comment on them... just for kicks. You never know what you may find ♥

I think sometimes it's really easy to get wrapped up in our own worlds and forget the big picture.
