Let's Do Tea

Good morning.
It's Monday.
Let's do tea, shall we?

I'll be sipping a cup of hot green or brewed chai tea. 2 Splenda.

If you asked me how things were going, I'd smile and say, "Wonderful. 12-days to go."
I'd tell you about my dress, the flowers, the cake, and I might tell you a little bit about our music.
I'd tell you that most of it is finished, except that I still have appointments every single day after work.
I'd tell you about all of the generous friends who are pitching in to help.
I'd tell you that I had a meeting Saturday that took so much of the pressure off my shoulders, and that my outlook is so sunny and bright now.
I'd also tell you about the people who I haven't seen in years who are making the trek out to see us.
What a blessing that is.

I'd tell you how Daniel's family (his brothers and one brother's fiancè) moved home this weekend.
We'd laugh about the fun times we had yesterday in our packed house with 7 adults and 5 dogs.
I'd also tell you about the delicious homemade meal his mom made for us last night. Mac and cheese, rolls, and green beans.
I'd then also express just a tiny bit of relief that one brother is moving out today, and the other brother and his fiancè will be in their new apartment in a little over a week.
Because even though I love them, I also love the peace and quite of our house as well.

Of course, I'd ask about you. About life. About plans. About your job, your blog, your dreams.
I'd probably want to ask about you a lot more than I'd want to talk about me.
All the while, we'd laugh, we'd sip our hot drinks, and enjoy the atmosphere of a cozy Boise coffee shop.
And then, when the stories were told and the drinks were empty, I'd make you promise we can do it again soon.

Until next time...

Are you going to be getting a place of your own after you marry?? I'd have a tough time living under someone else's roof...not too mention it being my inlaws! I love them but I love being independent all the same.

Best wishes!

I just so happened to be sipping a cuppa Earl Grey while reading the post. Good timing :)

Since we live near each other, I think we should actually get coffee/tea in person, that is after you are married and settled!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Do you live with Daniel's Parents? Does he live there as well? Did they give you your own bedroom?

If you ever come to Paris, let's have some tea, for real :)

Imagine me with my cup of hot cocoa, sitting across from you... I'd tell you how EXCITED I am for you and Daniel (again, because I know I've said it before), I'd ask you about work and about your recent trip to sun valley and how happy I am that everyone and the deer made it out ok.
I'd tell you about how night shift is messing with my sleep cycle and how I'm hoping to get to days soon after the new year starts.
I'd tell you about our pending trip to Portland (we leave the 2nd!) and how excited I am for that.
and I'd take you up on the promise to do it again soon. :)

Just wondering but where did you get your business cards?

Annelise Rowe said...

These ones were from a design that I made, and I had them printed by PrintRunner. My fave place is Vistaprint though!

Cody said...

I have a few designs that I wanted printed too. I was just wondering what you used. PrintRunner...I haven't heard of them. I thought about using Staples. Vistaprint is okay to me.

Annelise Rowe said...

So, I'm not sure if Printrunner is the same now, but before you had to take your design and upload it and they just print it. You know how Vistaprint helps you design it if you want it? Printrunner doesn't do that ... or maybe it does, but the service I used didn't. I won it in a giveaway... so ha! I bet Staples is great!

I have several designs ready to go. I just was looking for different places where I could get my cards printed, without doing it myself. I don't have publisher so it would ten times hard to print out my cards myself. I think I will stick to staples. Seems the best. Or
