Sit Back & Relax.

Shoes: Rue 21 // Bracelet: Premier Design // Photo: Taylor Love Studios

Once a month, I get to sit back and relax while my large ad spot sponsors do the big giveaway thing. Wait, did I just say sit back and relax? What I meant was once a month, I photo edit, build html for entries, and make this big huge post which usually takes about 4-6 hours. No big deal.

In other words, this is your chance to take a break from seeing my face (hence, the shoes—$5 from Rue 21—if I might add), and go say hi to all my sponsors... even the ones not featured in the giveaway. So go say hi. Enter to win some fun stuff. And be happy. Oh, and if you really want to see a post with my photos in it or a fun story, go venture around my archives or my category labels. I promise you'll find something new.

I love giveaways and appreciate the work that goes into them. That being said I love that you don't JUST post giveaways.

Giveaways are great! I like that they serve as a way to meet your sponsors and new blogs. I personally like to keep following/adding people to blogs, shops, or twitter. But that's just because I don't want to crowd my facebook account with things that aren't family and old friends (what I use it for mostly). BUT like I said, that's just my opinion :)

Your group giveaways are amazing Aunie! I know how much hard work you put into them and your sponsors always have some amazing prizes!

The only thing that bothers me a little is that there are SO many entries. Sometimes it takes 10+ minutes just to enter them all.

This is the first giveaway I've entered but it's pretty good. I like that I can pick and choose what entries I want. I dont like following anyone but friends on Instagram but dont mind following random ppl on Twitter. Facebook, eh, so-so on that one but yea, thanks for the giveaway!

You make your giveaways FUN. Not the usual - boring - do this and that..

I like to see some entries having a higher value then 1 like sending a tweet or somehow sharing the giveaway. But overall I like them :)

I like the giveaways! Theres a lot of variety and I feel like theres a bit of everything for everyone.

Thank you!

I love giveaways. I feel like, as long as they don't happen so often it overshadows the blog then you're all good.

I like when giveaways can cater to many different people. For instance this one is awesome because there will be different winners and different prize options. Awesome.

I read a blog about a girl who just had a baby and lately all her giveaways are baby related. Now, her baby is darling and sure, a baby giveaway every now and again is great but for readers like me with no kids it makes me feel a bit left out, ya know?

I love giveaways! Thanks for hosting such awesome ones :)

I love having the opportunity to win amazing things and that people so willingly donate. But I agree that it is so time consuming and some people only follow for the giveaway. That's not right. So I'm still torn... I like them better than sponsor spotlights though.

I love them when they'r well put together and not obnoxious -- aka, you do a great job. :)

I think you do a great job with giveaways! I agree with some of the other comments - some can be annoying requiring the reader to do a bunch of little things to be able to enter. (Most of the time I don't bother to be honest.) I like how you do it! One free entry just specifying a preference and if people want to do more for more entries then then can! Great job! :)

i love giveaways and i keep entering...because one day i will win something!

First of all, thank you for this post! It looks great and we are proud to be a part of it!
Second, yes, I know how it is: very time-consuming and not always rewarding.. But it is very fun and it makes people feel like it's a little holiday and I love playing Santa. You are doing great!

I think giveaways are super fun, not only are they a great way to win something fun, but it helps me find new great blogs to follow!

Abbey said...

I just posted my own, and it felt kind of awkward. I asked others to contribute, and so I felt like they should have part of the rafflecopter chances to win. But I hate finding giveaways that are only about following people I don't know or care about... so I don't really know.

Biggest pet peeve, though, is when the mandatory entries have to do with Facebook, because I don't have a facebook, so I'm out of luck!

I LOVE giveaways, simply put.

I usually hate giveaways because the only thing that they do is build up my reader with blog I don't read. I try not to enter inless I really want to win but I still don't win.

I like giveaways where more then one winner wins and where there are more choices then just GFC. Oh I also hate pinterest points too. They don't make sense. I don't want to crowd my pins home page with bloggers I don't know. Unless it counts when you just follow one board.

BUT I love you and your blog and this giveaway looks amazing!! I can't wait to enter and I hope to win.

By the way, I kept my comment anonymous. Hope it doesn't count against me.

i really love giveaways! and i know how much work they take which is why i dont do alot of group giveaways. and i came across yours today and honestly it looks AWESOME and the GIVEAWAYS actually do too! they are time consuming to enter, so sometimes i just skip right over them despite the prizes, but i had to enter. =) xo

I am thankful for your time and effort that you put into the giveaway! Thanks for having one, great prizes and chances to meet new bloggers, shops, and such.

I love giveaways (who doesn't love free stuff), but I do find it a little time consuming to enter. I can only imagine the work required to create it in the first place! I share other's sentiments with not wanting to clog up my reader with blogs I don't want to follow. But if a person wants a specific prize (like ad space with a particular blog), then they should get a point for following that person and the winner should be chosen only from people who want that particular prize/chose to follow that particular blog. Does that make sense? That way, we don't have to follow a bunch of people only to get extra points to count towards prizes we may not even want....hmm, that sounds convoluted.

Either way - I appreciate the work you put into these giveaways - thank you!

I love giveaways but sometimes being from NZ makes it difficult even if they are worldwide. Most of the time we can't use the gift cards given away and stuff. But apart from that, love em!

I like giveaways but sometimes get overwhelmed by too many things to do to enter. I do love with blogs give away to multiple winners though, especially when it is a really big giveaway.

I like entering your giveaways, and it certainly seems like it takes a lot of time, I would say you could cut down on how many people you include for the giveaway, and this could make it even more appealing! Hope I win this time though!

I like the post. It's organized well. I think about 3 of the lower pictures maybe missing but I'm not too sure if that's an error with my computer or with the post.

Your giveaways are very well put together & I know they take a lot of time. I just don't have the patience (or desire) to do allll the entries. I just pick a few and go on my way.
