A Skansonia Wedding

Sunday, my family and I attended a wedding for the oldest son of my parents' best friends. It was aboard the Skansonia in Seattle, Washington. It was a beautiful wedding, in an ideal location right on Lake Union, and the weather, though chilly, held off just long enough to let us enjoy the festivities without raining on us.

Congrats to the new couple. It's very exciting. Fun fact? The bride, named Marianne (also my sister's name), shares the same first name as her new mother-in-law, and now they share the same first and last name. Awkward? Maybe just a little.

My husband shares my brother's name, but they're spelled differently. It gets confusing, but now we mostly call my brother JT. And boy are you making me miss Seattle!

The name thing is a bit awkward. I wonder if and who will get a nickname?!

You look adorable! Love your hair :) That fun fact is a little funny/ironic... I'm in a similar position w/ my fiance - but I'm Christina & his mother is Christine. go figure!!

One of my friends has grandparents, who had 3 sons. All three boys married woman named Cathie. So they have 3 women with the same first and last name. It's kind of silly. But they just have nicknames, and that seems to work okay!
